Shopping on my site:
Items on my site with a button may be purchased online via a secure shopping server that is tied into my site. All credit card information is transmitted to me securely. ALL PRICES are in US DOLLARS. Other than to complete your order, I will not release any information you provide to me to anyone else (See my Privacy Statement below). Your credit card is not processed in real-time, and I will not process your card for payment until I ship your order. (Exception to this is payments via PayPal - see below) You may at any time click the VIEW BASKET at the top of each page to see the contents of your shopping cart. A Canada-only version of my website is available ( brettvarney.ca ) and lists prices in Canadian Dollars.

• Matted artwork is sold with a Single White mat with foam-core backing.
• Giclee Reproductions are sold either flat and shrink-wrapped on a board or rolled in a tube - Depends on the size of the artwork.

As a PayPal merchant. You can also submit your payment to me via PayPal if you wish - it is tied into my shopping cart system. They accept all the same cards as I do. The difference is that they handle the transaction and I never see your card info. Just click the PayPal button when you choose your payment method from your shopping cart.

You don't need to have a PayPal account to pay me. Just select " I don't have an account", and continue paying with your credit card.

The interesting thing about PayPal is that they actually charge me less for a transaction than my own merchant Visa/MC. account. So if you have a PayPal account, I actually prefer payments through them.

One note, payments via PayPal are processed in real-time. Your card or account will be charged / debited at the time you place the order. - I will ship ASAP

Shipping:

I will ship your order usually a day or two after I recieve your order, but if I am at an arts festival, I will need travel time to return back to my studio to collect and prepare your order. Remember, your credit card is not charged until I ship your order - (with the exception of PayPal payments - your card is charged at the time you place the order. Again I will ship your order ASAP).

•Also, it is my intention to only charge what the actual shipping cost is. If I find that my shopping cart has over estimated the shipping cost for your order ( whether I ship from Canada or happen to be able to ship from the US), I will adjust your credit card charge down or refund your PayPal account. I will not charge more if my cart has under-estimated the shipping.

On special orders that require special handling, I will contact you. Again, this will be for special orders ( i.e. framed pieces, comissioned work )

Sales Tax:

Sales that are shipped to the US are not charged Sales Tax. Sales that are shipped to Canada are charged GST/HST (& PST in BC only).

Returns:

I will accept returns on an item purchased from this website (up to 30 DAYS) as long as it is returned in the same condition as I sent it to you. I will refund your purchase price ,excluding shipping. Send the artwork back via US Mail INSURED. Email me for a street address.

Artwork purchased at the art shows I attend may not be returned, except during the exhibition itself. This is because of the commissions I pay on all sales at these events.

Artwork purchased at a gallery that sells my work is subject to the return policy of each gallery.

Framed Artwork:

I can still ship artwork framed, but because of the higher costs involved I needed to be able to contact you via email before I ship. If you need it right away, I can ship the framed artwork from studio in Canada, but the shipping may be expensive because of the shape or size that the box may need to be. The better solution is for me to bring your framed artwork order with me then next time I cross the border for an arts festival or gallery delivery and ship via FedEX ground from Bellingham WA. This method is much cheaper,and works out best if you do not need your order right away. So, please email me your order if you would like it framed and I'll let you know your shipping options and costs. Thanks.

Gift Certificates:

I now have gift certificates to give as gifts valid for any amout you want. They are good for purchases of my art at any art festival that I attend, phone orders and web orders. They cannot be used at any of the galleries that sell my work. The certificates are good for 13 months from the date of purchase and are not redeemable for cash. Please give me a call or email me at my studio to purchase Gift Certificates. They each come in a teal colored vertical envelope with string ties.

Commission Work:

I welcome commission work and I would love to create a special Original just for you. Prices are based on the total square inches of the image size you want. The rate sheet that follows, prices the artwork as artwork-only, no matting or frame. Prices calculated below, includes shipping.

<65 sq. in. = $4.70 per sq. in
66 - 124 sq. in. = $3.95 per sq. in.
125 - 275 sq. in. = $3.45 per sq. in.
276 - 425 sq. in. = $3.35 per sq. in.
>425 sq. in. = $3.25 per sq. in.

Example: 10x20 artwork image = 200 sq.in. , therefore 200 sq.in. x $3.45 per sq.in. = $690 cost of Original Art

Privacy Statement:

My privacy statement is fairly straight forward. I will not sell, rent, or give away any of your information that you provide to me. If you sign my mailing list you are indicating to me that you wish to receive an occational postcard from me and me only. Again, I will not give your e-mail address or street address away to a third party.

My privacy statement does not pertain to outside websites that may be reached via a link on my website. Of course, I will try to make sure that the outside website has a strict privacy policy in place if I do indeed link to their site.
